Charlotte 12-Year-Old Girl Sells 12,000+ Boxes of Girl Scout Cookies Shattering State Record

A Charlotte 12-year-old, Olive Gordon, has just shattered the North Carolina record for Girl Scout cookie sales in her 7th year as a Girl Scout. Gordon sold an astounding 12,801 boxes during the 2023-2024 cookie season, bringing her lifetime sales total to 37,953 boxes.

Gordon credits her success to strategic weekend sales at a prime location. Her cookie sales journey began modestly in 2017-2018 with 300 boxes, growing exponentially each year. This season’s sales alone generated approximately $77,000, with around $65,000 going to the council to support operations and cookie production.

Gordon’s troop has used their cookie sale proceeds for various activities, including hikes around Charlotte, visits to the U.S. National White Water Center, and a trip to Savannah, Georgia, where Girl Scouts was founded. In 2025, they plan to visit Puerto Rico, funded by their cookie sales.

Gordon’s dedication not only highlights her entrepreneurial spirit but also her commitment to giving back to the community, as she and her troop work towards their Silver Award.
