This NC City Was Just Ranked The Deadliest In America For Rush Hour Drivers


The crashes that occurred during the hours of 7am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm in major cities in the US were calculated as a percentage of the total crashes to identify the locations with the deadliest rush hours.

According to the data, traveling on the roads in these busy times poses the most risk for residents in Winston Salem.

Throughout the five years analyzed, 36 out of 118 fatal crashes occurred during peak rush hour times, equating to 30.51%. This was found to be 29% higher than the U.S. national average of 22.77%.

Phoenix, Arizona with emphasis on Scottsdale is the second worst city for lethal collisions during rush hours, with 32 deadly crashes occurring during peak hours out of a total of 107. This equals 29.91%, which is 27% above the US average.

The third is Kansas City, Kansas, with 30 out of 101 fatal crashes happening during rush hours, which is the equivalent of 29.7% – 26% higher than the national average.
