Tim Hortons, the multinational coffeehouse chain founded in 1964, is considering its first locations in North Carolina as part of its aggressive expansion plans in the United States.
With nearly 6,000 restaurants globally and sales of $2.73 billion in 2023, Tim Hortons aims to reach 1,000 stores in the U.S. by 2028.
Ryan Ferranti, head of business development for Tim Hortons US, detailed plans to expand into Arizona, California, and the Carolinas within the next five years in an interview with Franchise Times.
Restaurant Brands International (Tim Hortons’ owner) real estate director William Washington also told the Triangle Business Journal that they’re “looking to bring Tim Hortons” to North Carolina soon.
