UNC Charlotte Joins Other Campuses In Setting Up Tent Camp in Protest Of Israel-Gaza War

Students at UNC Charlotte set up their own protest camp against the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, joining hundreds of other campuses across the country.

The students are advocating for Charlotte University and the broader UNC system to withdraw investments that support Israel.

The demonstrations have escalated tensions on some campuses, occasionally resulting in standoffs with law enforcement.

Over the past week, mass arrests have occurred at several universities, including over 120 arrests at NYU, which saw one of the first major ‘protest camps’ set up to protest the Israel-Gaza war.

This wave of arrests seems to have only amplified the message as an increasing number of schools have been setting up protest camps this week across the country.

What do you think about the protests and the ongoing war?
