Octapharma Plasma Inc., one of the world’s largest plasma donation firms, is expanding its U.S. headquarters with a significant $18.75 million investment in southwest Charlotte.
The company has acquired a 177,000-square-foot building at 10021 Westlake Drive, along with an adjacent 6-acre site for future expansion. This new facility more than doubles the space of Octapharma Plasma’s current headquarters. The new site is located just off Steele Creek Road, close to the company’s existing corporate office at 10644 Westlake Drive, which spans 87,000 square feet and currently employs 257 people.
The company plans on hiring over 300 employees for their new Charlotte headquarters to support its network of plasma donation centers around the world.
In addition to its corporate offices, Octapharma Plasma operates three plasma donation centers in Charlotte and more than 180 donation centers in 31 countries, employing over 10,000 people worldwide.
